The Extend Bonnet High Temperature Metal-to-Metal Ball Valve is designed for process temperatures that exceed the practical limits of conventional soft-seated ball valves.
Its extended bonnet and stem section increases the distance between the hot process zone and the packing or actuator interface. This helps reduce heat transfer to temperature-sensitive sealing and operating components.
The ball and seat use a metal-to-metal sealing system with hard surface treatments such as tungsten carbide or chrome carbide applied by HVOF processes. These hard coatings improve resistance to galling, scoring and abrasive wear in hot or particulate-laden media.
The current configuration is listed as 1-1/2 inch, Class 150, A105 body, F304 hard seat and a temperature range up to 420°C. Spring-loaded seats and optional scraper-seat arrangements can be used to maintain contact and manage media that may crystallize or deposit on the ball surface.

Thermal Extension Bonnet: The elongated bonnet increases heat-dissipation distance between the hot process fluid and the stem packing or actuator interface.
TCC / CCC Hard Coating: HVOF-applied carbide coatings increase surface hardness and resistance to erosion, scoring and galling.
Live-Loaded Packing: Spring-loaded packing can compensate for thermal expansion and contraction to help maintain stem sealing during temperature cycling.
Spring-Loaded / Scraper Seats: High-temperature spring loading maintains seat contact, while optional scraper geometry helps remove deposits from the ball surface.

The Extended Bonnet Metal-Seated Ball Valve is intended for hot, abrasive or deposit-forming process media where conventional resilient seats may lose performance.
Solar Thermal Power: Suitable for compatible high-temperature heat-transfer fluids and molten-salt service where thermal isolation and hard seating are required.
Refining & Petrochemical: Hard-coated ball and seat surfaces support hot hydrocarbon, catalyst and abrasive process duties.
Superheated Steam: Metal seating and extended bonnet construction can be applied to steam isolation within the specified pressure and temperature range.
High-Temperature Process Lines: Optional scraper seats and hardened surfaces help manage crystallizing or particulate-bearing media that can damage soft-seated designs.
