Product Detail |
The Pneumatic Leakage Class V Ball Valve for Hydrogen is a high-performance automated valve specifically engineered for the production, storage, and transportation of hydrogen gas. Given the small molecular size and high diffusivity of hydrogen, this valve features a precision-ground Metal-to-Metal or Reinforced Soft Seat to achieve FCI 70-2 Class V (virtually zero-leakage) integrity. The valve is equipped with a high-speed pneumatic actuator for rapid emergency shut-down (ESD) or process control. Materials are strictly selected and treated to resist Hydrogen Embrittlement, ensuring long-term structural reliability in high-pressure hydrogen systems.

Design Description
Class V Tight Shut-off: Precision-lapped ball and seat interface ensures a superior seal that meets or exceeds FCI 70-2 Class V standards, critical for preventing hazardous hydrogen build-up.
Anti-Hydrogen Embrittlement Materials: Use of specialized stainless steels (e.g., S31603 with controlled nickel content) and alloys that are resistant to hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC).
Fugitive Emission Control: Stem seals are designed to meet ISO 15848-1 Class AH or API 641 standards, utilizing live-loaded packing to prevent micro-leakage of hydrogen to the atmosphere.
High-Speed Pneumatic Actuation: Equipped with a rack-and-pinion or scotch-yoke actuator for reliable, millisecond-range response in emergency situations.
Static Discharge Protection: Built-in anti-static devices ensure electrical continuity between the ball, stem, and body to prevent sparks in highly flammable hydrogen environments.
